Alameda’s Trader Joe’s robbed

Last night just a few minutes after closing Alameda’s Trader Joe’s was robbed. Apparently the robber had a gun, used a rock to break in, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. This Alameda Journal story has more details.

Also, today:
“The latest homicide victim was a 62-year-old Oakdale contract delivery man. An Alameda County sheriff’’s deputy found him about 7:54 a.m. He was shot to death in his delivery van, parked in an empty parking lot by a soccer field near Oakland International Airport.”
I saw his truck and about 10 cops cars as I drove passed the golf course on Bay Farm this morning.
