I laughed out loud when I heard Patti wanted to publish an obituary, not only is it super clever but it's incredibly fitting. She clearly has been an institution on Park Street, fulfilling all our sports cards and comic needs. Parents have a place to find perfect gifts, place special orders and feel that they've stepped up versus the cop-out iTunes giftcard. Kids have grown up stopping at her shop and discussing old and new, sports, cards, comics, collectibles... she's a flowing plethora of accurate information. I cannot put into words how excited I am that she's opening shop again, a fresh start where she gets to revitalize her legacy and offer her expertise to a grateful neighborhood. Keep an eye out, although this will be a death to her location on Park Street - this is also a rebirth. She has not abandoned us, but rather, she will be giving a new perspective in a rare old skool industry!

Have been a customer of Patty's for many years. There's nothing to be sad about since she's opening in a new location: same great service, same great selection and same virtually telepathic understanding of what her customers' needs and wants are, just in a new place. Know Patty's pumped up about her plans for the new place and can't wait to check it out. 'Sides it on my way to/from work so, less driving for yours truly.

Wow this is so sad. I've been going there for over 20 years, to the same block of Park Street. Talk about creating a void in the neighborhood. Really sucks about the lease and rent issues but thanks for all the memories, and comics and goodies!
