Thanks for the post about Alameda Backyard Growers!

Yes, we're a brand new grassroots network that links established gardeners, residents with fruit trees, and anyone interested in building a raised bed or tending a container garden. Our goal is to donate fresh fruits and vegetables to organizations that serve low-income Alameda residents while building community and supporting our network of "microfarmers" with information and resources.

To learn more about how to get involved, please attend our "Planting the Seed" kick-off event this Thursday, March 11th from 6-7 pm at High Street Station located at 1303 High Street (across from the Encinal Market). Special Guest Speaker: Paul Russell, Executive Director, Alameda Food Bank. For more information, email us at alamedabackyardgrowers@gmail.com.

Thanks!
