Alameda’s Speisekammer restaurant and pub was at full capacity today, when Germany played Spain the the semifinals of the World Cup soccer tournament.
But while the crowd enjoyed German beer and food during the match, it didn’t get all it came for.
Spain defeated the German team 1 goal to 0. Spain’s appearance in the finals on Sunday will be the first time a Spanish team has competed for the world’s top soccer prize.
While Spain is facing the Netherlands, Germany is set to play Uruguay on Saturday in the game that will determine the number three team in the world.
