Ballena Bay Yacht Club, at 1150 Ballena Bay, and High Street Station Cafe are co-hosting a dinner and benefit tonight — from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 — at the yacht club.

For $10, guests can enjoy a hearty meal while supporting Girls Inc. of Alameda Island.

Members of the High Street Station crews — Susan, Lynda and Annie — ask members of the community “to join us to help with this wonderful cause, and to enjoy a meal, and a view.”

Those planning to attend can RSVP by calling 510-995-8049.

There’s also plenty of free parking in the Ballena Bay area.

Tonight’s menu includes fried chicken in a spiced buttermilk batter, corn on or off the cob, coleslaw, mashed red potatoes and gravy, coconut cream pie and banana cream pie.

On Thursday March 17 — St. Patrick’s Day — the menu is planned to feature corn beef and cabbage
Sheppard’s pie, Guinness stew, soda bread, and bread pudding with ice cream.
