The local sailing magazine, Latitude 38, and other publications have been giving some publicity to the performances of a “charming family of sailor/acrobats who have just arrived in the Bay.”

The performers did their acts today at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on board their ship, La Loupoite, at the Encinal Yacht Club, 1251 Pacific Marina, in Alameda and will do the same shows on Sunday, Oct. 2. The performances are very moving and well worth it!

The morning show has a comical, family-friendly theme, while the afternoon program is more passionate and dramatic.

According to Latitude 38, the family doing the shows is making their way around the world aboard La Loupoite and does the shows to help cover expenses.

Here’s their schedule:
* Oct 1 & 2: Encinal YC, Alameda, 11 a.m. “The Sailors”; 1 p.m. “Between Wing and Islands”
* Oct 8 & 9: Treasure Island YC, 3 p.m. “The Sailors”; 5 p.m. “Between Wing and Island”
* Oct 14, 15, & 16: South Beach YC, S.F., see website for show times

Get out and enjoy the one-of-a-kind shows!
