Mama’s Chicken Noodle Restaurant on Webster Street is part of that district’s growing eating-out (and drinking-out) community.
It’s atmosphere and delicacies have earned it rave reviews from a recent visit by a San Francisco Chronicle blogger.
“Nothing is quite like Mom’s chicken soup. That seems to hold true at four-month-old Mama’s Chicken Noodle in Alameda’s former KFC location, where Ngay Phung serves her version, along with other noodle soups, roasted meats, rice plates and appetizers,” wrote Lynne Char Bennett.
The chicken wings are to die for, too, says the blogger.
Mama’s Chicken Noodle, at 1727 Webster St., is open from 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. daily.
