The Frank Bette Center for the Arts is hosting an opening gala for its latest show, Circles, from 7 to 9 p.m. this Friday, October 7. Art in the show will be on display through Friday, December 23.
According to the event’s organizers, “The circle of life, a circle of friends or maybe you feel like you’re just going in circles; whatever your take on the subject, come and compare your ideas with this month’s exhibiting artists interpretation of circles. You may be surprised, enlightened, affirmed, or entertained. What better way to spend some time out of your own head and delve into someone else’s, even if it’s just for a little while.”
The opening gala takes place at the arts center, 1601 Paru Street at Lincoln Avenue. The event is free, though donations to the center are appreciated, staff members say.
Also, don’t miss the Plein Air art sale at South Shore Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday, October 8.
