Urban Wine eXperience 7 takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. today, Saturday, August 18, at Rock Wall Wine Company on Alameda Point.

The event features liquid refreshments from 18 wineries paired with the food of 18 restaurants.

The price of tickets purchased at the door is $60; $40 for Blue Note Wine Club Members.

Rock Wall’s address is 2301 Monarch Street.

Also, from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, Rock Hound will host a release party for its new white and red wines. A portion of the $10 entry fee will benefit FAAS (Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter).

Along with a hearty complimentary taste of the Rock Hound Red and the Rock Hound White, pizza bites will provided by Pane di Casa. And there will also be sweet treats for sale, live music and spectacular views … all for a great cause, organizers say.
