On a lighter note, here’s something completely unrelated to toy recalls. One of our favorite moms, Timiza Johnson, who heads up West Contra Costa’s Mocha Moms group, just sent us this YouTube clip of a singing dad who warbles about the woes of bedtime … to Pachelbel’s Canon. We’re thoroughly enamored and we’re not alone – Pachelbel Bedtime’s at 184,000 hits and counting.

The singer-songwriter is David Crawford, a Georgia middle school teacher with two daughters, and a penchant for witty lyrics. (Check out his “Spoiled Bumblebee” too.) The bedtime song seems to have struck a chord, pardon the pun, with families around the world. It’s been downloaded from Tasmania to Argentina – proof positive, Crawford says in an e-mail, that “the challenges and joys of raising children appear to be at the very least global, if not universal.”
