Mattel warned us last month that its second recall of the summer might not be the last. Guess they had an inkling of what was to come, because today sources leaked that the company will announce the latest round of tainted toys on Wednesday. More Fisher-Price toys and accessories are being yanked because of lead in the paint, along with parts from several Barbie playsets. Although the official announcement won’t come until Wednesday, Mattel has posted some of the latest recalled toys on its Web site. (For more information on other toy recalls this summer, read the aPARENTLY Speaking safety blog items.) This is the third time in the past few months that Mattel has had to recall toys manufactured in China. Check the Contra Costa Times Web site on Wednesday for more information about this recall.
