If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, the Baby Loves Disco parties are still going strong at Club Aura in Pleasanton. The next one is set for this Saturday.
For those new to the concept, Baby Loves Disco is a national par-tay created by hip parents tired of listening to Barney and such. The party-makers take over nightclubs during the day, turning them into family friendly dance venues where the DJ is spinning groovy tunes from the 70s and 80s, and diapered bottoms are gettin’ busy.
If dancing ain’t your thang, quieter zones entertain kiddies with bubble machines, egg shakers and even books and puzzles. Mom and dad can get a real drink, and the price of admission includes a full spread of healthy snacks.
And if you think your kid can REALLY dance, this Saturday they can compete in the Stride Rite search for the Best Little Dancer in America. This weekend’s East Bay winner will be featured on the Baby Loves Disco Web site and will earn a shot at the national championship. A portion of proceeds from Saturday’s event will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
