Drive Smart, Stay Safe: A Class for Teens and Parents
Oct. 23 or Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. Las Lomas High School, Walnut Creek (Free but rsvp required). Sponsored by the CHP and Acalanes Adult Ed.

Positive Solutions: Temperaments, Chores, Allowances & More
Wednesdays through Nov. 7 at 8:15 a.m., John Swett Elementary, Martinez ($15). Sponsored by Martinez Adult Education. To register, call 925-228-3276.

Life after High School: Transition to Adult Living
Oct. 24 at 7 p.m., Iron Horse Middle School, San Ramon
Two-part workshop for families of special needs kids. Speaker: Sandra Smith, a Cal STAT (California Services for Technical Assistance and Training). Free, but rsvp required.

Preschool and Brain Development
Oct. 25 at 3 p.m., Seven Hills School, Walnut Creek
Speaker: Deya Brasher, chairman of DVC’s Early Childhood Development Education Department. Sponsored by Seven Hills. Cost: $15 per person (teachers are free). Register online.

Navigate an IEP, Individual Education Plan
Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. in Martinez

Making Connections that Count

Booties Camp: Baby Massage

Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. – Spanish session for 10th and 11th graders and their parents, St. Paul’s Catholic Church, San Pablo
Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. – English session, Easter Hill United Methodist Church.

Living with Ones and Twos
Nov. 1 at 7 p.m., Bananas in Oakland
