Latest wildfire update for SoCal colleges

San Diego fire THURSDAY UPDATE: UCSD’s emergency status has been downgraded to “yellow.”

As of (Wednesday) morning, UCSD remains at emergency status, but students are safe and the university has set up a page for parents that includes contact information and travel tips for students wishing to return home. The University of San Diego remains closed but its dining services and student volunteers have been helping the efforts at Qualcomm Stadium. San Diego State remains closed as well. Pepperdine University in Malibu has reopened for classes. Elsewhere: CSU San Bernardino is closed through Friday, but Friday evening and weekend events are still planned and classes will resume Monday. CSU San Marcos will reopen Monday as well.
