1) Channel Cyclops, sirens and heroes at Berkeley Rep’s Greek Myth Family Workshop this Sunday (Free).

2) Make your very own carnivorous garden at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden‘s family workshop Saturday afternoon. ($20 for two)

3) Grass skirts abound at the Hula Festival in Pleasanton this weekend. ($12, preschoolers free)

4) Talented kids play glorious music at this Saturday’s Young People’s Symphony Orchestra concert at Holy Names University in Oakland. ($12-$15)

5) And the Concord Teen Illustration and Art Exhibition launches this Sunday, featuring teen art based on “Fahrenheit 451.” Opening reception at 1 p.m. Gallery Concord, 1765 Galindo St.
