Our first-ever post about protective cups

I haven’t actually searched to find out whether we’ve written about protective cups before, but I have a hunch this is a first. I couldn’t resist when I saw the video promoting the Nutty Buddy.

If you have a son who plays sports, you know that getting him to wear a cup can be a challenge. They’re uncomfortable. They chafe. They can be difficult to get in and out of the jockstrap pouch.

Check out this video, in which former Major League Baseball pitcher Mark Littell demonstrates a new cup he’s designed. He puts the cup on himself and takes a direct shot from a pitching machine. (Here’s a story about Littell’s product.)

I’m sold. Now, if I can only get the kid to wear one.

Oh, Ari – Just tell him you’ll videotape him, Johnny Knoxville-style, and post it on YouTube. He’ll put that thing on in a jiffy…
