Tot by Rick Nease, MCTThe East Bay Moms group hosts its tenth annual Preschool & Childhood Resource Fair on Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oakland’s Scottish Rite Center (1547 Lakeside Drive at Lake Merritt). This is one of the granddaddies (grandmommies?) of preschool fairs – last year’s event drew a crowd of over 500 parents, eager to meet with reps from 80 preschools and childcare programs in Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, Lamorinda, El Cerrito, Kensington, Alameda, Richmond and El Sobrante. It’s a must-see for parents of tots. Adult admission is $6 ($3 for East Bay Moms members) and kids are free. Best of all, you can get your hands on the new 2008 edition of the East Bay Moms Preschool & Childhood Resource Directory for $5 (regular price is $15). Need more info? Check the web site, drop them an e-mail or call ‘em up at 510-653-7867.

I am a new preschool owner in Livermore and I just heard about the Oakland fair that occured on Jan 26th. I am interested in being notified and attending future fairs. Is it possible to be put on a mailing list?
