Here’s one more good one for the weekend! Alameda Bicycle hosts an AB Family Ride once a month, and this Sunday is it. The group sets “a slow, chill pace,” says Gene at Alameda Bicycle, “We ride as fast as the kiddies on training wheels can go.” Four ride leaders keep the pack, which can number anywhere from 40 to 120 riders, together throughout the ride, and not only is it free, there’s free ice cream too!
The fun starts at the Alameda bike shop, 1522 Park St., at 10 a.m. Sunday and ends two hours later at Tucker’s ice cream. And all you need is a bike, a helmet and a sense of fun. Questions? Call 510-522-0070.
