Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Acalanes High School Theater, Lafayette. Speaker: Mary P. Carey, juvenile defense attorney, talks about current laws that affect teens, including drinking and driving, drugs, parties, consensual sex, illegal downloads, curfews and vandalism. “Autism Education Series for Parents”
Thursdays through October and November, 5:15-6:45 p.m. Center for Autism and Related Disorders at Packard Children’s Hospital, Palo Alto. A 10-part educational series for parents of young children (1-5 years) newly diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. ($5 per session)

“Iron Horse Mothers Club Baby Gear & Toy Sale”
Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Danville Congregational Church, Danville. This annual baby gear and kids toys blow-out, run by the Iron Horse Mothers Club, donates all proceeds to the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County.
