]]> By: Eli Nicole http://www.ibabuzz.com/aparentlyspeaking/2008/11/10/mob-scene-cancels-twilight-signing-in-sf/comment-page-1/#comment-1780 Eli Nicole Fri, 21 Nov 2008 02:10:57 +0000 http://www.ibabuzz.com/aparentlyspeaking/?p=1845#comment-1780 so after this whole incident i was invited to the Tyra Banks show. they were going to fly me out and what not wednesday night to go to the filming of the show to talk about this whole situation. asked me to over exaggerate the situation and everything and i was super excited. then an hour later i call her back to re talk to her after i calmed down a bit. i was extremely excited…. well i was told to” not keep my hopes up” caues the topic has to be approved. well i called again and asked a few days later how things were going and then itwas about the budget. so i ad to wait it out. well tuesday came up and i was thinking crap if they were flying anyone out the NEXT DAY they would of emailed or called and let me know they werent going to have me sitting here waiting for the answer. but there was no emails so i called to find out that i was not in the budget to fly out. so i was a little upset but i guess iwas okay about it…. UNTIL today. you see today Rob was on the Today Show and then i did some more research and found photos from today of rob with Tyra for the Tyra show. I was more heartbroken. I had three chances in two weeks to meet him and the third time i felt like it was a joke. why would someone give me the chance to just tell me couldnt make it anyway.Im very thankful for the opportunity but its like i looked forward to this and did my best to keep it on the down low, but in the end after all the conversations im proud i have my TRUE REAL story instead of the over exaggerated story they wanted me to tell and i dont have to worry about covering the way i look just to be on TV.
I wont be at the midnight showing …ill be going tomorrow while kids are barely getting out of school to see the movie i have been dreaming about and thinking about for the past 3 months!

I think the mom who made a point of teaching her 14 year old daughter some control has it right. Robert Pattinson IS NOT Edward Cullen…and I think these girls have a hard time distinguishing that. In real life, he is a scruffy actor/musician who self-admitedly doesn’t wash his hair or change his clothes.

I think so many girls have fallen in love with the character of Edward Cullen, they so desperately want him to be real and Pattinson is as close as they’re ever going to get. This is crazy though. Poor Rob.

I have tried to teach my kids moderation in everything, and taking her out of school for this seemed excessive. She will already be going to the midnight showing on Nov. 20, and the next day I am allowing her out of school for a couple of hours to go with me to see it. That’s it. After I found out people were lining up at 4 a.m. for the signing and waited all day to get in I was glad I didn’t do it. She will survive and hopefully will learn a little control. It’s not a bad thing for girls these days to learn.
