I realize it’s not the childrens fault, but I agree with the article – there’s no way a single mom with 14 kids under the age of 7 can properly raise those kids and nurture them properly. I also don’t like that this situation automatically assumes that family members and the community need to jump in – this lady didn’t ask for their help before getting into this situation – and as a taxpayer – I don’t want a dime of my money going to someone who is acting that irrationally and irresponsibly – she’s just as bad as those fat cats in the banking industry who abused the generosity of taxpayers with the first stimulus package (but because kids are involved – we’re suppose to be nice about it? I don’t think so. I only have 1 son because that’s all my husband and I could take care of properly w/ out being a burden to others – but I guess being responsible and thinking of how one’s choices impact others is outdated. I’m tired of handing out cash and support to people who abuse the system – and this lady is the queen bee of systemic abuse and narcisism). I think the best thing to do is for that lady to give most, if not all, of the kids up for adoption. There are a ton of families who would love to love (and could appropriately support) these little ones.

This situation is definitely unique. I hope that the woman’s friends and family will unite and support her in any way they can. These babies, who didn’t ask to be born are now here and they need all the help they can get. It’s easy to judge another, however, unless we are there it’s difficult to know the why of things. I just know that once something has happened such as the birth of these 8 babies, that now we have to put aside opinions and help them however we can.
