by cutting the movies down to two and half hours, you cannot possibly do justice to the movies. They are too chopped up. Too much is left out of the movie it comes off more like a summary of the book. These books are just too good to put in a movie and ruin them. There were scenes in the half blood prince that were not even in the book, such as snape telling harry he is the half blood prince and harry giving up the potion book and letting ginny hide it. These movies have to be at least three and a half to four hours long. You have only to look at the first three to see that. As far as the last book even if it is split into two movies each movie should be at least four hours long and it should be produced as it is written. The lord of the rings trilogy may be long but it is a collection I have enjoyed many times over. When I watch the harry potter series I mostly just watch the first three it's sad that this series won't in years to come be appreciated as they should be because of what is being done to these last four books. It's also a terrible discredit to the wonderful work the author has done in writing them. This movie was said to be two hours and thirty three minutes, I timed it at two hours and twenty minutes. I don't know about other fans but as for me if the next movie is cut this much I'm not even going to the theatre to see it, I just don't want to be disappointed anymore by whats being done to what could have been a wonderful classic.
