Happy new year! By now, your household is probably getting back to normal. The gift wrap has been flung and the thank you notes … er, written?
So in keeping with that theme, this week we’re giving away the newest Barney DVD dubbed “Please & Thank You.” Yep, the purple dinosaur is teaching “magical lessons on manners.” And that vid can be yours! Click “comments” and tell us, how do you teach your kids about manners? Do they write their own thank you notes? Tweet their thx? (We’ll draw a winner’s name next Monday.)

My children write their own thank yous. There is something impersonal about emails! Also, they call
the person who gave them a gift. Many thanks, Cindi

My 7yo daughter has her own personalized Thank You cards. That way she can always write out her Thanks and send it on its way.
My 3yo tells me what to write and I write it out for her. I will be getting her some personalized Thank You cards too so she can be just like sissy…LOL!

i help my two year hand make thank you cards (usually she’ll just doodle on it) and write a note in it.

Thank you notes and cards for any occasion are so important a tradition in my family.Being creative is the fun part something I have taught my daughter and something my mother taught me and now my daughter is teaching her son.He just had a birthday and they are busy busy being creative with thank you notes. This is a tradition that will be forever in our family and the best is that friends and family relate to me how much they enjoy the creative thank yous and cards.
