Flashlight Tours: What could be spookier than exploring an aircraft carrier’s off-limits areas by flashlight? The U.S.S. Hornet, which is berthed in Alameda, is offering flashlight tours on Feb. 20 at 8:30 a.m., followed by a “Living Ship Day,” a historical re-enactment that lets participants watch simulated flight operations as planes are lifted to the flight deck and readied for launch. Admission is $6-$14, flashlight tours are $35; www.uss-hornet.org.

Princesses & Peas: The witty, musical spoof of the old “Princess & the Pea” legend took on new life when “Once Upon a Mattress” landed on Broadway back in 1959. Now, the tale of Prince Dauntless and Princess Winnifred the Woebegone — and that famous legume — is headed for Berkeley’s Julia Morgan Performing Arts Center. The show runs Feb. 20- 28. Tickets $10-$22; http://ymtcberkeley.com.

Celestial Celebration: Got teens? Chabot Space & Science Center is holding a “10000 Skyline Party,” complete with provocative science, cool films, music and more Feb. 19 from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets: $8-$20; www.chabotspace.org/10000.

Ruby Slippers:
If you’re a Judy Garland fan, you won’t want to click your heels three times. Livermore’s Bankhead Theater is hosting a cabaret tribute to the diva dubbed “Judy, Judy, Judy.” Tickets are $20 for grown-ups, $12 for students; www.bankheadtheater.org.

Year of the Tiger: Join the Chinese New Year Celebration — storytelling, martial arts demonstrations and lion dancers — on Berkeley’s Fourth Street on Feb. 20 from 12:30 to 5 p.m.; www.fourthstreet.com.
