I am so glad I found this article! We have a sling just like that. It was never that comfortable for me and my baby fussed a lot when I put him in it so I didn’t usually bother using it. Baby wraps, ring slings, Mei Tai, Ergo, Beco, Moby, there are so many kinds of safe baby carriers that have all of the benefits of the recalled swings without the danger.
