I think we should let her do it. Eventually she'll overwrite the series and kill it herself. It's like this: she's got one thing going - the Twilight series. Once it is over, it'll be over, like a world war. All we have to do is keep our heads down and stay alive. Then the Twilight series will slowly fade away and with every new gambit Meyers uses to cash back in on Twilight, it'll grow more pathetic and will mercifully destroy the entire series.

i think its an awsome idea, especialy for those who love the twilight series, their are alot of charectors im intersted on their back stories,i belive she could go into alot of directions if she so chose to,theirs nothing wrong with using you imagination, and any good book should always have a following that just prooves its good writing, for those who dont seem to get it maybe your just not reading right or your not getting it period, and thats fine everyone has their own taste, leave it to the people with a better insight to judge what is good reading for them,i happen to hope she writes about other charectors regaurdless of how long or short they may have been in her books,i think if you can even recall ones that where not in them for even accouple of pages that prooves you where really paying attention and you may find that the other vampires have just as much an interesting story as edward and the cullens, thank you stephenie meyers

Honestly, this is ridiculous.

True, Meyers books were sold and bought as quickly as sharks at a feeding frenzy, and read just as quickly, too.
But as for how well-written they are, they sunk. These books are terrible in writing skill level, the characters are shallow, the romance is skipping along the banks of pedophilia, and it just needs to end.

And now she decides to publish a book about a character that was in one of her four novels for a total of three pages. Generally, that's not done, and it's even a stupid idea. If you're going to write a companion novel (which is the last thing Meyer needs to be doing, mind you) then it should be a novel about a main character. Not a character that was ridiculous enough to be in one book for three pages before dying off.
Who looked at this Bree character and said, "Jeez, I wish I knew her backstory."

As far as I'm concerned, I'd much rather hear Meyer's backstory on the protagonists, not some silly very, very, very minor character.

Dear Mrs. Meyer: Stop publishing. You're terrible at it, and all you're doing is making teenage girls cut themselves in the name of Twilight. It's ridiculous, please stop.

Love, every sane reader out there. <3
