Aquarium of the Bay One Fish, Two Fish: San Francisco’s Aquarium of the Bay is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dr. Seuss’ famous book with a “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” salute June 6-8, with naturalist-led demonstrations, scavenger hunts and other hands-on activities. Tickets: $8-$16.95.

Family Fun Fest: The Berkeley Farmers Markets are hosting their sixth annual Family Fun Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 5, with hip hop and aerial dancers, live music by Caribbean singer Asheba and Earthcapades Environmental Vaudeville, and a DOOF — that’s F-o-o-D spelled backwards — healthy eating workshop for kids. Free. Civic Center Park, Berkeley.

Beaucoup Bernstein: The San Francisco Symphony’s latest Music for Families concert features narrator Jamie Bernstein and her “Bernstein Beat!” The curtain rises at 2 p.m. June 6 at Davies Symphony Hall on a show inspired by her famous father, Leonard Bernstein. Tickets $7.50-$56.

Red carpet glamour: Oakland’s Museum of Children’s Art is hosting a red carpet gala to honor its youngest artists and raise funds for this kid-friendly art gallery. Enjoy live music by the Ethiopian Dance Troupe and Berkeley High’s Hep Cats jazz ensemble, and check out the new “What the World Needs Now” exhibit. Tickets $5 for kids, $50 for grown-ups.

Ratty in Fairyland: Mr. Toad, Badger, Ratty and Mole come to vivid life on the Children’s Fairyland stage in Oakland in this puppetry version of “The Wind In The Willows.” The fun starts at 11 a.m., 2 and 4 p.m. every weekendin June. Fairyland admission is $7 per person, including rides and entertainment.
