My favorite memory was just being around my Grandma and feeling her love. She was like the Mom I never really had, but wanted and needed as a kid growing up. My Grandma was ALWAYS there for me. I’ll always love you and I miss you Grandma. (RIP)

When I was little I loved to spend weekends at my grandmothers house. She lived near the center of town, so on Friday nights we’d walk to the main street to window shop and stop at the ice cream parlor for a cone. I loved to sit on her big front porch with her just talking. Thanks!

I loved going to Grandmas for her home baked goodies and helping her pick green beans from her garden.

My grandma and I used to play cards all afternoon. She taught me Old Maid, Go Fish, and Slap Jack. I LOVED slap jack the most, and she was so good about me getting over excited and slapping too hard. Only a grandma would take that kind of accidental abuse with a smile and a hug. What a wonderful lady

My favorite memories of my grandmother was when she used to let me help her bake cookies when I came to visit her when I was a young girl. The best part of helping her bake cookies was just being around her because she was always alot of fun and always made me laugh…and of course, I ALWAYS looked forward to when she would let me clean the remainder of the cookie dough that was left in the mixing bowl with a spoon.

I loved making cinnamon rolls with my grandmother. I still use the same recipe today, and when I make then once or twice a year, the smell brings me right back to being 8 years old in the kitchen with her.

My Grandmother lived in Linden Calif in a wonderful house that had a peach orchard.Once a month I spent the weekend there with my cousin Janet and Grandma would put out cereal boxes to choose from and we ran to the peach orchard to pick peaches for our cereal. At dinner time for desert Grandma gave us icecream with peaches and returning home I always found a jar of Grandmas peach jam in my suitcase. She was Grandma Peaches and she loved being called this.
