ART & SOUL: Enjoy live jazz, rock, gospel and R&B music, and kid-friendly rides and entertainment (one of those attractions from a previous year is pictured above!) at Oakland’s 10th annual Art & Soul Festival from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 21 and 22 at Frank H. WALLET-FRIENDLY WILDLIFE: Walnut Creek’s Lindsay Wildlife Museum is hosting a “Pay What You May Day”from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 21. You set your own admission fee, then enjoy all the usual museum activities, plus petting circles at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 and 3:45 p.m., an up-close-and-personal session with a raptor at 1 p.m. and a mammal presentation at 3:15; www.wildlife-museum.org.
