The irrepressible Dora the Explorer is back, this time in cookbook form, as Dora and her buddy Diego teach kids to whip up kitchen treats, with a little Spanish instruction on the side. This new book – “Dora & Diego Let’s Cook” – from the Nickelodeon duo includes recipes for everything from Scrambled Eggs in River Rafts (rapido!) and Stuffed French Toast, to Silly Face Salads and Baked Potato Rescue Boats made a la cocina.
So this week, we’re offering up a copy of the new cookbook. All you have to do is click comments and tell us, how do you get your kids involved in the kitchen? Do they help you cook dinner? Do you have a kids’ cookbook your family loves? We’ll draw a winner’s name next week.
And speaking of that, congrats are due to Cathy, who won last week’s “First Day of School” DVDS!

I get Nikko into the kitchen with me to make easy recipes. Some times I get them on line and some times I make them up. It’s a great way to spend time together. I love food and I want him to be excited about food too. If he makes it he’s more likely to actually eat it.

My two children are like their father! They enjoy
cooking and baking…I reap the benefits.
They both have always showed an interest in their food and have wanted to help in the kitchen. We even
let them choose the meal for two or three nights out
of the week. I help get the ingredients together and
they help their dad prepare the meal whenver
possible.
Thanks, Cindi
