However, during Christmas we drive 2 1/2 hours over two mountain passes to get to my brothers house. I always pack a pillow and blanket. I also have some of their favorite toys as well as some of their favorite books to keep them entertained.

play/snack bag! That way, each child’s personality plays into their personal bag of games, snacks, drinks,
etc. Also, we like to leave late in the evening, when traveling. That way, they sleep for most of the time!

I’m delighted to have won “Thumb Love”. I can’t wait to read it to my little one. As for my best Thanksgiving travel tip, my number one tip is DON’T FLY! But it sounds like you are looking more for car travel tips, and for that I would recommend that you pack up the car the day or night before you leave, so as to have one less stress when you’re pulling out. For long car trips, I like to have lots of easy-to-reach snacks, water, and juice on hand, and for older kids, a map, so that they can follow along! And to get everyone in the car and ready to go on time, I like to tell everyone that we’re leaving a half-hour to an hour before we actually have to leave (keeping this little deception a secret). Thus, if you’re pulling out a half hour “late”, no biggie! These mummy mazes sound fantastic!
