Oh I have so many wonderful memories of my childhood thanks to my Mom and Grandmother.When I was a freshman in high school all I really wanted was a pair of LA Gear shoes.That is all I talked about LA Gear shoes.My Mom wanted a phone to match her room I think in a salmon color (unsual) Grandma always listened but never would say a word.When opening our gifts at the family gathering my Mom got La Gear shoes and I got a salmon colored phone.Mom was showing off the shoes, putting them on and dancing around, showing then off constantly talking about them constantly. No Grandma did not make a mistake in the name tags on the gifts she just wanted to see how I would react to Mom getting the shoes,Of course Mom caught on quicky and played it up,,Of course I got my LA Gear shoes and I thank my lucky stars that Mom and I do not wear the same size anymore. We still laugh about this and wonder what each Christmas will bring.I love and apppreciate my family so much.

I have wonderful childhood memories holidays and other days but the most precious one was with my daughter when she was a toddler.Her Uncle decided to play Santa at our family gathering Christmas Eve.All the other Uncles decided to participate somehow.It was so fab, one uncle on roof stomping, one ringing bells and while distracting my daughter, the fireplace screen was down, and a big HO HO HO and the looks of amazement was caught on film. I just recently told my daughter the true story as she never knew and now we plan to do this on Christmas Eve for my toddler grandson. All the Uncles have volunteered to repeat this wonderful memory

When I was 6 and my Dad dressed up as Santa and delivered our gifts and I had no idea it was him until he said Merry Christmas….and then I started laughing.

When I was young, I always helped my mom mix various
cookie doughs and was the taste tester!

My favorite childhood holiday memory is of decorating the Christmas tree each year. My parents have the most wonderfully diverse collection of ornaments (antiques, kitschy, souvenirs …) We loved getting out the boxes of ornaments out each year and discussing all the memories and stories associated with them.
