Wall-E & More: Don’t miss the last weekend of the Oakland Museum of California’s Pixar exhibit, featuring Woody, Buzz, WALL-E and more. Little ones will enjoy the visuals, of course. Teen artists and parents will be drawn to Saturday’s panel discussion by Pixar artists and art history professor Heather Holian. Catch the Pixar talk from 2-4 p.m. Jan. 8. CSI, the Recycling Edition: Join Oakland’s Chabot Space and Science Center staff as they go all forensic on you during “CSI Lab: Zero Waste,” an afternoon of green family fun. Blue Suede Shoes: We’re not sure what Elvis Presley has to do with conservation, but anything that combines Elvis’ music with outdoor activities is OK by us. Save the Bay and the East Bay Regional Park District are celebrating Elvis’s Birthday by planting native species plant along the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline in Oakland from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 8.
