All of my kids (2 are half Chinese, one is not) love Chinese new year. My older half Chinese children especially love making sure that the younger child knows all the history and work on her pronunciation so she “does them proud” at family banquets. Gong shi fa tsai !

We don’t really celebrate the Chinese New Year, but we do talk about it at home and are always eager to know which animal it’s going to be. Yeah, go rabbit! Plus, it’s a great excuse to make dumplings!

My children cerlebrate Chinese New Year in their classrooms. It is a wonderful holiday and they enjoy the celebration! A new book in the house would be great for my 7 year old son who we are working with on learning to enjoy reading.
