I’m sure little Lew asked what the chances were of winning this year, and not wanting to take a loser into Giants territory…er, Fremont, had Beane start the rebuilding now.

I do think that Beane will be able to bring a winner back to Oakland, but since they won’t be in Oakland, I have my doubts. But, hey, there’s always their soccer team, right? That’s where to much focus is going anyway, it’s making Beane take his eye off the baseball.

As for the opening day starter, I vote for Lansford’s kid. He’s almost ready now, right?
