Learning about Jackie Robinson is the best way I know to teach my second graders about what the words prejudice and segregation truly mean. Using baseball to teach or review state grade level standards makes learning fun for the kids.That’s why one of the classroom bulletin boards reads, “Baseball is Everywhere” with work samples of math, reading, writing and study skills that all review subject matter with a basebal theme.
