I love how Inoa chose Oakland over the Yankees due to Beane 'n Co. ability to develop pitchers. I'm guessing Beane ball has a international following, now.

The best quote on Inoa: "He is a once in a decade pitcher." If it's true, we'll be seeing his stuff in Freakmont in 4 or 5 years.

Bee, A's not hitting? Yeah, they're not getting a bunch of meaningless hits, but they're among the league leaders in hitting with men in scoring position. If Cust was removed from that stat, the A's would be solidly at the top. I hope he continues to bat 4th.

A's bullpen was suppose to be solid this year. Opps!

Let's go Oakland!

The A's have invested a lot of money in it's baseball academy in the DR, and Michael Inoa is the precise reason for the A's focusing on that island country. The DR produces a huge percentage of the foreign-born players in the minors and majors, and this guy looks like a great aquisition. I'm excited about it.

Another painful loss today courtesy of the bullpen giving up the long ball. And we won't even go into the issue of the A's hitting or lack thereof.

But Billy B is making the necessary moves to build for the future. I hope that the future comes in the not too distant future. No matter what, I love these guys and I will always root for the A's, as I have done for 50+ years. (That means since the Kansas City days!)

I'm very intrigued about the A's new addition. And also very excited. It appears as if the A's are anticipating the move to Fremont and the future revenue the new stadium will be able to generate, because as JD and Jay-Z once said, this signing shows that "money aint a thang."

I was also delighted to hear Beane say something along the lines that trading for a player before the deadline will not be impacted by finances. If the A's can one day be able to consistently have a 100 million dollar roster, just think how good they will be.
