The team could have given some incentives for more of the 40-year team to show up. I certainly understand about Ellie recovering from surgery, but more of them come out for old timers day, for crying out loud.

As you know, I am a long time and avid A’s fan, but even I am getting disillusioned with how management is handling the franchise. I still love the guys on the team, but when will they wake up and realize that the fans pay a large part of the bill. Without loyal fans, the team–quite frankly–can’t win. It may be overstating the role of the fans, but I think not. Maybe the fans booing Wolfe will send a message, but will it be received?
