I think that Billy should just let Embree go. Sure, he had moments of greatness, but has everyone forgotten the games he gave away with the long ball? He is a great guy but for the most part, it’s what a player does on the field that counts. Embree is an on-again off-again pitcher and we have much better options for a lot less money.

I read Ray Ratto’s article on Lew Wolfe and admit he has a point. Yes, Lew is frustrated, but he shouldn’t take it out on the fans by threatening to get out of dodge with the team in tow.

Since Mike Gallego will be the new third base coach, I gather that Tony De Francesco has been demoted to the minors. Any ideas why? And where will they put him? Can’t put him at Triple A after Todd Steverson managed them well enough to win the PCL and the Brickyard Showdown this year.
