Although cust has strruck our a lot, he might have got better during spring training. barton did nothing. also, cust and giambi with help out with matt holiday to regain the A’s home run game.

Let’s remember that it’s still risky to assume a healthy Eric Chavez playing every day. Chavez is a big wild card going into the season. If he stays healthy, that should give them some more offensive production and then maybe Cust isn’t as crucial to the mix …
