A’s give Geren contract extension

Just received word that the A’s have given manager Bob Geren a one-year contract extension for the 2010 season, with a club option for 2011. His existing contract was set to expire after this season. Both Geren and GM Billy Beane are expected to comment later today. The team plays a 6:05 game tonight against Kansas City in Surprise. …

    Ah, the dreaded drive to and from Surprise. Lucky you!

    I guess my guess about Mazzaro was on point. I’m sure we’ll see more of him on the big team soon.

    Hope the A’s can win one tonight.
