If both are hitting like the A’s need them to, I don’t think it will make much difference who’s hitting 3rd/4th. And I actually think Holliday will hit third quite a bit against lefties. With a lefty on the mound, I could see them going Cabrera/Sweeney/Holliday/Giambi 1-4, just to keep the righties and lefties alternating high in the order.

Holliday has much more speed than Giambi, and also hits for more doubles and a has a higher OBP.

It just seems that Giambi in the 3rd spot could clog up the base paths, and Holliday would be better suited for the 3rd spot. Your thoughts?
