It was great to see the A’s hang tough and get the late-inning victory. It’s beginning to look like the team is gelling, and all parts of the game are working–starting pitching, bullpen, hitting and defense. It’s fun to watch.

Everyone knew that acquiring Nomar was risky. His right calf problem is not new. He came to us with it. Maybe they can figure out a way to fix the problem while he’s on the DL, if it’s fixable at all. I hope he can come back. He is a great presence on the field and at the plate.
