When Charley Finley had the A’s they were a great team.These guys really knew how to play the game. Todays players are bigger and stronger but can’t hold the older players jock straps. Other than Holliday none of the A’s of today would make the team. I’ve had fun yanking you around for a couple of season now it’s time to stop. Larry, you’re one up on me. I’m too busy raising law-abiding children, and I’ve given up on supporting steriods and other illegal drug use in the MLB. It looks like it will be another few years before I get anywhere near Oakland Coliseum or where the A’s future home will be, how Selig has disgraced his “independent” office.

After watching the A’s play this weekend I give up. Bobby running into Cust then Cust almost walking after the inside the park HR I will stick to the Ports the rest of the year. The A’s made the Giants look great witch they are not.

Bob said, “(Geren) is one of the worst managers ever in major league history.” I agree with you that Geren should be fired, but he isn’t even close to being the worst. How many 100 loss seasons has he managed?

With 10,000 fans during week games, no flagship radio station and pathetic tv coverage, and one of the worse venues to watch a game, Lee Wolf isn’t owning the team for profit. The man loves the game and wants to do good for the organization and the greater bay area by making the A’s a viable MLB team. Or, are you content in being the major minor league team for the wealthier teams? Honestly, if anyone is too blame, it is the naive population of California who allows the Peaceniks to dictate how we improve our way of life in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Finally, the players are professionals. It is easy to blame the coaches or management, but the players ultimately must take personal responsibility like you or I in our own careers. The A’s bullpen is a joke, and it needs new bodies, while the rest should be banished to Sacto or even better Stockton, so Leroy can enjoy them.

how a guy like geren has that job is mindbggling, mind you how beannie has has is even worse and it is he who hired him.

is the a’s owner an idiot or is he just owning the team for what money he make off it?

Geren is a LOSER. he manages exactly like the losing manager he is. always takes out the wrong pitcher and the wrong time, and always replacing him with the wrong pitcher. his record since macha left is PROOF POSITIVE that he is one of the worst managers ever in major league history.

then just watch a’s games for something else- watch how many a’s get thrown out on the besepaths and/or how many should have taken another base but didn’t try to? this is a poorly coached team.

what outman said i am sure all those young pitchers are thionking now as well about this DUFUS geren who is NOT a big league manager.

Looks like Bean assembled a fine group of minor league players who he tries to con A’s fans into believing that they are real major leaguers when he uses them on the A’s major league roster.
