in 2009 regular season.
We’re 45 minutes into this rain delay, and no concrete word on when the game might start. I’ll keep you updated. There is talk that 9 p.m. (6 p.m. West Coast) might be the magic time, but no confirmation for that.
Meanwhile, in the “That Just Ain’t Right” category, the Yankees’ JumboTron just showed a man and woman each wearing the same T-shirt. It had a big Yankee logo on the front and “Mazzaro” on the back. I know that Vin has a lot of fans here tonight, and I know they’re all probably Yankee fans at heart. But come on folks, choose a side …

Joe,
First take on Eric Patterson is His swing, an uppercut
without much power at this level. He went to AAA and
performed, but the swing He left with has returned. Eric
does have speed and Ray Fosse has remarked that it does
not appear that Eric Patterson has mastered the Art of
putting the ball on the ground where His speed would
serve Eric and the A’s.

Joe,
One other point, About the trade of Gallagher + for
Scott Hariston, age 29 with lifetime average of .256
and 134 RBI in 1,213 at bats. He arrives and Sweeney
is sent to Right Field. Sweeney made most of the A’s
Highlight catches during the first half of the season,
and Now Hariston would take his place in Center Field.
Scott Hariston did not appear to be an improvement in
Center and now He quickly is sent to Left Field when the Hollidsay trade is made. There again He didn’t look comfortable. I hope that Scott works out, but at age 29 and a career.256 batting average, I don’t think
that the A’s have a Star. Gallagher was the Key to the
Harden trade…Hariston for Harden?
