Not sure why they release willy i would have kept him and traded travis buck willy gives the A’s more speed a better glove and better avg hitter plus he cost the A’s 4 million maybe he has a descent year and the A’s can trade him just not sure about that move any thoughts??>

The A’s were waiting to see how Tomko recovered from his injury before they entertained thoughts of bringing him back. And that was before they re-signed Justin Duchscherer and added Ben Sheets. I don’t think he’s high on the priority list right now. But if he proves he’s 100 percent and doesn’t get any other nibbles, who knows? Tomko really enjoyed his time in Oakland last season, I can tell you that …

What happened to starting pitcher (Tompko?)with A’s for last half of 2009 season who had a pinched nerve in his arm and is now a free agent? He had a 4 wins and 1 loss and a very good era. Are A’s interested in him now, and if not, why not?
