Keep Custie on the bench. If I had my way, I’d put his bats in his gear bag and send him packing. I breathed a sigh of relief when he was released this winter. No more predictable strikeouts with runners on base, I cheered. Too bad he didn’t stay released. And, get this, he could actually make more than his overpriced salary from last year, but that would mean he does well and earns all his incentives, which would be a good thing. I’m not holding my breath.
