I am a Cubs fan. Patterson and Fox are both ex-Cubs. Keep Fox. The guy can hit. He was Triple A triple crown leader b4 the Cubs called him up. And he hit with the Cubbies in part time duty. But he ain’t a fielder at any position. Why isn’t he in the mix for DH?

Rosales is the back up IF. No one else(Fox, Patterson) can play SS. Fox is not the best Defensive player, but have you seen Patterson play 2B and OF this spring? To me it comes down to Fox, Buck and Gross as the back up OF. Cut Patterson and he could clear waivers and be resigned to a Minor league deal.

I say keep Fox. I agree that the catching aspect clinches it for me, but we need the pop off the bench.

Definitely I say keep Fox. More upside to me at this point and him being able to catch just puts the decision over the top for me. Being able to DH Powell more or Suzuki to give him a break behind the plate could prove to be very valuable for this team.

Go with Fox. Landon Powell seems to be the one on the outside. Rosales has has a good spring too.
