Believe it or not, there was non-Dallas Braden news taking place with the A’s today. Reliever Brad Kilby was called up from Triple-A and catcher Landon Powell was sent down after spending just two games with the big club.

With lefty Jerry Blevins still day-to-day with back spasms, manager Bob Geren said the team needed an extra arm in the bullpen.
