I celebrated when he was cut.

I was distraught when he reported to Sacramento, because I knew this day would come.

My greatest fears came true last night in his first came back. A ridiculous drop in left field, followed by a later catch that he laughed about with the Angles fans in left field.

At this point, I’d rather rush Chris Carter than watch this tired old act again. In fact, it’s very unlikely that I’ll watch any games in which he plays from this point forward. The only other player I’ve ever said that about was Barry Bonds. That’s how much I don’t want to see this guy on the roster.

I’d rather see the A’s go 0-122 the rest of the way than watch one single game of Jack Cust in an A’s uniform.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Mike Gallego get some at bats . . . . And I’m still hearing Ricky Henderson has a little bit left in the tank. Jose Canseco is probably just a phone call away !!!!
Maybe some veteran leadership is just what this young club needs.

NO NO NO Cust sucks, he his awful in outfield bring up Michael Talyor and Chris Carter. Get rid of Patterson and Fox they both suck bring up these rookies to see what they got.

Cust is an effective hitter, and also draws quite a few BB’s. With his high OBP – even when Cust is hitting .240 – he is comparable to a .290-.300 hitter.

It shouldn’t be shocking that the offense is struggling given that they weren’t going to be great anyway and they are without four regulars at the moment.

About time. The current LF options are not good either (Fox or Patterson), and I’ll take Custs OPS, even with the Ks.
